The film traces
the journey of Greek avant guard theater group ATTIS in Georgia
The first Greek
group ever to tour this area which has been inhabited for many
years by Greeks who have formed their own villages and communities
A rare and
emotionally moving blend of images which portray the life in the
far away countries of one of the most importatnt group of Greek
migrants.
While the group
performs Heiner Muller’s Medea Material in areas following the
traces of the Argonauts, around the town which is recogned to be
Medea’s own birthpalce, actors meet and mix with local
Greeks,”Pontioi” that have lived in the area for many years and
keep their traditions in order to keep a bridge with their home
country.
In the film they
narrate in their own particular language the story of their
ancestors that occupied this and in Soviet Georgia and they also
perform in an extremely moving manner, local songs and theater.
